Ruslip Methodist Church
Challenge
Ruslip Methodist Church required an Audio Visual Presentation System to be installed into their Church. We were approached by the
members and asked to design and install a system that would cater for there needs and aesthetically fit into the church. Members of the
Church were worried that adding the latest technology into an old building would make it stand out and look an eyesaw. Working closely
with them and after a demonstration of two projectors that we temporarily setup within the church they decided to go with the
Panasonic 7700 to cater for all their projection needs. The screen location and projector location was the main concern as the members
did not want to block any of the features within the building.
Solution
PPAV Plc designed custom bracketry to mount the Panasonic data Projector eight (8) metres in the air. Due to the height of the
building this was a big challenge. Twelve metre high scaffolding was used to reach the roof of the church. We concealed all of the
cabling behind the large wooden ceiling beams. Our inhouse Electrician also installed high level sockets for the projector and
screen, which was all feed back to one fused spur allowing the User easy access to turn all of the equipment off at the flick of a switch.
We also installed a three metre front electric projection screen above the Alter. We had to design and make
custom bracketry to mount the screen above the Alter due to the ceiling being constructed of single skin plasterboard.
We installed an input plate at low level to allow easy connection of laptops and video devices. Audio was
routed into the churches existing audio system. The members of the church were amazed when they
saw the end result and how much effort PPAV Plc went to, to fulfil all of their requirements.
