Halcrow Group
Challenge
The Halcrow group is one of the world's largest independent infrastructure
companies, supplying global solutions in the field of transport, property
and water. Following a multi million pound refurbishment of their UK headquarters,
PPAV Limited were asked to design and install media solutions for the
company's boardroom and reception areas.
Solution
Boardroom
The boardroom installation was specifically designed to give the room a clean look without the
clutter of audiovisual racks and equipment cabinets. A custom designed wall mounted interface was
installed in the boardroom to allow users to connect any video or PC based equipment directly to the
large screen projection facilities. Ceiling mounted speakers were installed and audio inputs were
included in the wall-mounted interface. This allowed the client to show any form of video or PC
presentation without keeping expensive equipment in the room.
Reception Display
Halcrow receive many guests and visitors on every working day, and wanted
to create a relaxed and friendly foyer area within the main reception of
the building. PPAV Limited was tasked with supplying and installing a
plasma display monitor to replay video and computer images. A series of
ceiling mounted speakers were installed to give the area audio coverage.
All control equipment was housed by the reception desk to give the staff
control over the system.
